Time Off

Everyone needs time to recharge—whether it’s a vacation, a personal errand, or a sick day to rest and recover. Your Pandora benefits have you covered!

Taking time off

Choose the type of time off you need to take (vacation, personal, sick, etc.), select your dates or hours, and submit for approval through Plan.Dora.

Time off for employees

Depending on your employee status, you have a mix of personal time, sick time, vacation, and a few special days available to you to use as needed.

Time off for full-time employees

  • Vacation time: You accrue vacation time each pay period and your vacation time rolls over year to year with no cap on how many hours can be rolled over.
  • Personal time: Five days each year can be used at your discretion. Unused days don’t carry over.
  • Sick Paid Time Off: Ten days each year can be used for sick purposes only. Unused sick time carries over (unlimited). View the Pandora Sick Leave policy.
  • Celebration Day: One day each year can be used at your discretion. Unused day doesn’t carry over.
  • Volunteer Day: One day each year for regular corporate and AMDC employees is permitted after a 90-day waiting period. An unused day doesn’t carry over. Store managers receive four hours each year for volunteer time off.

Time off for part-time employees

If you’re part-time, you accrue sick leave based on hours worked.

  • You will accrue one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked (accrual rate is 0.0334) starting immediately upon your hire date. You can track your hours directly in your Plan.Dora profile.
  • Unused sick/leave carries over year to year (unlimited).
  • Sick Paid Time Off is forfeited upon termination.
  • You do not accrue vacation time.
  • Part-time employees in British Columbia: If you live in BC, you receive 40 hours of sick time after 90 days of employment.
  • Part-time employees in Quebec: If you live in Quebec, you receive 16 hours of sick time after 90 days of service. You also receive an additional amount of “vacation per pay” deposited into an earnings bank from May 1 to April 30. After April 30, you can request a lump sum of vacation time or payment of time earned. To receive the lump-sum payment of vacation time earned, submit a request to payroll through Payroll Zendesk.

Check your PTO balance

When you go to check your PTO balance, you’ll see vacation, sick, and other eligible time-off balances. You can use Plan.Dora to view your accrued time off. If something doesn’t look right, reach out sooner rather than later, so it can be reviewed before payroll closes.
