Saving for retirement doesn’t have to be complicated. The Pandora 401(k) plan helps you build long term financial security with easy paycheck savings, a generous company match, and free, one-on-one support whenever you need it. Start soon after joining Pandora and adjust your savings anytime as your life changes.
Make a smart move with the 401(k)
The 401(k) plan is designed to make saving feel doable with no finance degree required! With the 401(k) you can take advantage of plan benefits such as:
- Save automatically from your paycheck.
- Choose pretax or Roth contributions (or both!) depending on your personal situation.
- Grow your savings faster with our match of up to 6% of your pretax contributions—that’s like free money just for contributing!
- Pick your own investments or if you need some guidance, the plan can do it for you.
- Talk one-on-one with a retirement expert at no cost.
Who can enroll
You’re eligible for the 401(k) if you are:
- 21 or older
- Full-time or part-time
You can enroll after your second paycheck, and you can make changes anytime of the year. Pandora’s matching contributions begin after three months of service.
Note: Seasonal staff is not eligible for the Pandora 401(k).
How much you can contribute
Choose how much to contribute and what works for you. Remember that small contributions can add up big over time. You can change your contribution amount anytime during the year, but keep these 2026 contribution limits in mind:
- Pretax or Roth contributions: Up to $24,500
- Catch up contributions (age 50+): An extra $8,000
- Total contributions (age 50+): $32,500
- Total limit (employee + employer): $72,000
Grab the company match!
One of the best parts about the Pandora 401(k) is that we invest in your future, too! Pandora matches 100% of your pretax contributions, up to 6% of your pay.
This match begins after your first three months of employment, and you’re immediately vested in the money we contribute. This means it’s yours to keep—no strings attached!
Even though 6% of your pay may feel like a stretch to contribute, you’ll instantly double your savings when you contribute 6% of your pay.
Pretax vs. Roth contributions
Both options help you save, but which one you choose affects your taxes in different ways.
Pretax contributions
- Lowers your taxable income today
- Taxes are paid when you withdraw in retirement
Roth contributions
- Taxes are paid now
- Qualified withdrawals in retirement are tax free
Tip: Not sure which to choose? Many employees use a mix, and you can always change your contributions anytime throughout the year.
Investing, minus the overwhelm
Does the idea of investing overwhelm you? You have options! Choose the option that best fits your goals, including:
- An all-in-one choice if you want one diversified portfolio managed for you
- Working with a professional to manage your retirement account (fees may apply)
- Managing your account yourself and selecting your own portfolio of investments
Still not sure? If you participate in the plan without selecting investment options, your money will be directed to the Qualified Default Investment Alternative (QDIA) selected by Pandora.
