Find the Right Provider

Choosing care shouldn’t feel like guesswork—or a complicated puzzle. Introducing Garner Health, your new, free benefit that works alongside your medical plan to help you quickly find high-quality, in-network providers, so you can choose care with confidence.

Let Garner do the heavy lifting

When you download the Garner Health app and enroll, you can:

  • Find in-network doctors and facilities (in minutes!) within the UnitedHealthcare network.
  • Keep your care team details in one spot: Select and save your providers in the app, and they’ll be marked as your providers for future claims.
  • Get help anytime: 24/7 in-app support can help you find a provider or troubleshoot if you don’t see your current one in the app.
  • Get money back on eligible costs: Depending on the plan you enroll in, you can receive up to $1,000 reimbursed for eligible appointments.

Get started with Garner Health

  1. Download the app through the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Enroll in the app, create your free account, and set up direct deposit.
  3. Choose your provider and save or mark them as your provider in the app before your visit.
  4. If you’ve saved your provider as your Top Provider before the appointment, follow the in-app steps to submit your claim, so you can receive reimbursement through direct deposit (see HSA note below).

How reimbursement works

Once you’re enrolled in the app, search for the Top Provider badge—it highlights doctors who meet Garner’s quality criteria.

If you add a Top Provider to your care team before your appointment, eligible out-of-pocket costs may qualify for reimbursement through the Garner Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).

Once you activate your Garner account, find a provider, and submit an eligible claim in the app, you’ll be reimbursed through direct deposit up to the Garner Health Reimbursement (HRA) amount available under Pandora’s plan design.

How much you can be reimbursed

Once you follow the steps outlined above, you can use the reimbursed money for a range of costs, including to help cover your plan’s deductible, office visit costs, prescription drug expenses, and costs associated with lab work, X-rays, MRIs (coinsurance for services, which is your share of a service you must pay after reaching the deductible).

UHC Gold Choice Plus: up to $250 (employee) / $500 (family) in the plan year for eligible appointments

UHC Platinum Choice Plus: up to $1,000 (employee) / $2,000 (family) in the plan year for eligible appointments

Important for employees enrolled in a plan with a Health Savings Account (HSA)!

IRS rules require HSA accountholders to first meet the 2026 spending requirement of $1,700 (employee-only coverage) or $3,400 (family coverage) before Garner can reimburse medical costs. You cannot use your HSA funds for costs that will be reimbursed by Garner—that’s considered “double-dipping” and is not allowed.
