Time Off

Everyone needs time to recharge—whether it’s a vacation, a personal errand, or a sick day to rest and recover. Your Pandora benefits have you covered!

Taking time off

Choose the type of time off you need to take (vacation, personal, sick, etc.), select your dates/hours, and submit for approval through Plan.Dora.

Time off for full-time employees

If you’re a regular full-time employee, you have a mix of personal time, sick time, vacation, and a few special days available to you to use as needed.

You accrue vacation time based on your years of service, starting with your very first paycheck. Unable to use all your vacation time in any given year? Don’t stress! You can roll over up to five days (40 hours) into the next calendar year. California employees can roll over up to 240 hours into the following year.

If you hit an anniversary, your accrual rate changes in the pay period when your anniversary occurs.

Check your PTO balance

When you go to check your PTO balance, you’ll see vacation, sick, and other eligible time-off balances. You can use Plan.dora to view your accrued time off. If something doesn’t look right, reach out sooner rather than later, so it can be reviewed before payroll closes.

Time off for part-time employees

If you’re part-time, you accrue sick/leave based on hours worked.

  • You will accrue one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked (accrual rate is 0.0334) starting immediately upon your hire date. You can track your hours directly in your Plan.Dora profile.
  • Unused sick/leave carries over year to year (unlimited).
  • Sick Paid Time Off is forfeited upon termination.
  • You do not accrue vacation time.

Additional time off

Time off to mourn

When you lose someone close to you, taking care of yourself and your loved ones comes first. Regular full-time employees may receive up to five days of paid bereavement leave in the event an immediate family member passes.

Immediate family members include your child, parent, spouse or domestic partner, grandparents, grandchildren, siblings, and anyone related by blood or affinity whose close relationship is the equivalent of family.

If you need bereavement leave, notify your supervisor as soon as possible and share the dates you expect to be away. You may be asked to provide documentation.

Note: If a bereavement leave law applies where you work, refer to your state’s State Supplement for any additional or different requirements.

Time off to vote

Your voice matters. Whenever possible, vote before or after your scheduled work hours.

If your schedule makes that difficult, arrange voting time off with your manager before Election Day. Managers may approve a reasonable period of leave during the workday.

Pandora follows all state voting leave laws. Time off to vote is unpaid for non-exempt team members unless required by law; exempt team members will not have their pay reduced.

Jury duty service

Pandora supports you in meeting your civic and public service responsibilities. If you’re summoned for jury duty, you’ll be excused from work in accordance with this policy and applicable state law.

Notify your immediate manager as soon as possible. Pandora will pay the difference between your regular earnings and jury duty pay for up to 30 workdays per calendar year.

This policy does not apply if you volunteer for jury duty service or appear as a party or witness in a court or administrative agency proceeding, unless you appear at Pandora’s request or state law prohibits this exclusion.

Pandora may ask you to provide a copy of your jury duty summons or other proof of service.
